Traveling by Ferry
The ferry journey is generally considered to be easier on pets. Most of the ferry companies provide reasonable facilities and kennels and will allow you to visit your pet during the journey.
Blue Star ferries is one of the more commonly used companies for the journey between Piraeus and Paros. This journey takes around 3hrs and a half in total, but you will be permitted to take your pet for a walk on the deck, and visit it as often as you wish during this time. Please do note, however, that you will be expected to provide food and a water bowl.
Here you can find more information about PET ACCOMMODATION on board
“A limited number of Pet cabins are available on board. It is necessary to reserve these cabins in advance. Should these be fully booked, a small number of kennels are also available. For reasons of public hygiene, pets are not allowed in cabins (other than the specially designated pet cabins), bars, restaurants and the ship’s indoor public areas. When walking on the open deck, they are required to wear muzzle and be on a leash, accompanied by a guardian. Passengers traveling with a pet should hold updated health documents for their pet and are responsible for the pet’s care, safety and hygiene.
Special areas for the pets’ daily hygiene are available on board. Unaccompanied pets are not accepted for embarkation”

This fabulous pet friendly hotel is located in the area of Ambelas, in a small fishing village, just 3 kms from cosmopolitan Naoussa in the beautiful island of Paros and only 2 min walk to the seaside road, with its many beaches and attractions to take your dog.
Dogs love the coast. The Ambelas coast line is a prime walking area for your dog and the coastal paths and bridleways are very dog-friendly.
With so many interesting walks to enjoy within the surrounding Ambelas area, it seems a shame to leave your dog at home.
Promises from a dog…
We hope that you have many happy hours exploring the surroundings of our beautiful hotel.
Please Note. We always recommend that dog friendly breaks are booked direct with the hotel on 00302284052362 or email us firstname.lastname@example.org, so that you are allocated a suitable room.

Loukoumades (pronounced loo-koo-mah-thes) ,are the Greeks’ answer to donuts
«For those of you not familiar with loukoumades, they are the most heavenly fried donuts; served warm, drizzled with honey syrup and cinnamon, sometimes sprinkled with walnuts or toasted sesame. They are served throughout Greece, where the history of this donut can be traced back to the first Olympic Games in 776 BC. In the original Olympic Games the Greeks honored the Gods and the victors’ prize came in an edible form of «honey tokens,» golden fried balls of dough, covered in honey.» Post by Marisa Churchill
- FOR THE MIXTURE
- 1 kg all-purpose flour
- 2 packets active dry yeast
- 2 glasses of warm water
- 1/2 tea spoon salt
- 1 tea spoon sugar
- FOR COOKING
- Approx 500 ml corn oil – for deep frying
- FOR SERVING
- Cinnamon to taste
- Greek Honey to taste
- In a large glass dissolve the yeast in the tepid water, along with the salt and the sugar .
- Use a large bowl, add in the flour and the dissolved yeast and mix with your hands, until the mixture become thick and foamy (a texture similar to that of a milkshake)
- Cover the bowl and let the mixture rest in a warm place for at least 1 hour where it will rise.
- Put the 500 ml oil in a deep pan and heat. Make sure that the oil takes over only half of the pan’s depth.
- Turn the mixture in the bowl a few times with your hands.
- Take a handful of dough and, with your hand in a fist, squeeze until the dough comes out as a ball between your thumb and index finger. Using a tablespoon which you have dipped in a glass of cold water, scoop this ball and place in the deep pan to fry. Repeat this several times depending on the size of your pan but remember NOT to crowd the pan.
- Loukoumades will puff up and float to the surface. You then should turn them occasionally, until batter is a crisp, golden brown on all sides which takes about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Remove carefully with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Repeat as many times as is needed.
- Place drained puffs on warm platter and keep warm.
- To serve individual portions, place 4 or 5 loukoumades on a plate drizzle honey over and dust generously with cinnamonp.

Our guests have asked us in the summer many times, how olive oil is made in the winter. Yesterday dawned bright and clear in Paros, a perfect day for picking olives, so for two days we have harvested our olives together with family & friends. With great pleasure, we produced again our high quality and tasty olive-oil, our “early harvest, cold pressed, extra virgin” olive oil.
Each year has a different olive produce, this year is not such a good year, but the final product is really good! You will taste our olive-oil, on the table for your next summer!
Some of our olive grove is around Margarita Studios in Ambelas and in the area of Marmara village, where we have 40 olive trees.
Here is the story of our 2015 olive harvest with photographs:
